  Having dealt with a couple of other hire companies in Ibiza I have to say I was really impressed by Goldcar today, clean vehicle, easy quick check-in and really freindly, helpful and professional staff. Everything about the contract was explained clearly and was what I had expected. I was surprised to see some of the other reviews and guess they must have really worked hard on the service delivery. Anyway thank you for a pleasurable experience today and providing the price is right, I'll certainly be back...

  This is the worst car hire I've ever used. Do not use them. I paid £58 before for the entire car rental. They then said I was to pay another £130 upon arrival for full protection and insurance plus a tank of petrol (we used 1/4 of it because ibiza is a small island) because they didn't accept Amex. Nowhere was this mentioned. I was just told to bring The card I used for The initial booking which was an amex. The alternative was to pay £1300 which wouldn't be returned for 28 days and I'd run the risk of them making up problems with the car.

  BEWARE!!Their price are NOT TRANSPARENT, you end paying MUCH more than you think. READ very carefully their price policy. Especially if you book via a platform like "do you Spain" or "Autoeurope", the price is not the one you think you will pay. Moreover they will find the way to make you pay some extras for no reasons. When you give the car back make sure they confirm to you in written that everything is allright or they will charge you for missing things or other reasons. I rented in Ibiza airport and the told me that TWO YEARS AGO (a bandeja???tmaybe tray??) was missing from the trunk of the car and NOW I had to pay 40 euro???) This is a great way to steal money from people: the amount is too small to lose time on reclamation . My question: why didnt' they tell me 2 years ago that I had to pay? They could have taken the amount from the credit card? They got now 40 euros in a very illegitimate way from me - had I not paid I would have lost all the money for this rental- but they lost a client forever.
